Hello Community Partners,
We want to extend a huge thanks to those who completed the Prevention Planning Survey – the results will help us continue down the road of developing a cross-sector prevention plan in partnership with Nevada County leadership. During our CSN meeting on October 6th, we reviewed the results as well as some county-wide data on child abuse risk factors and factors that support child-wellbeing. Results from the survey can be found here and the additional data elements can be found here.
We have an exciting couple of months coming up for the Community Support Network and our prevention planning efforts. In November, our meeting will be dedicated to a facilitated discussion with local service providers and parents who were past service recipients. And in December, we will have a facilitated discussion with individuals in leadership positions around their thoughts on a coordinated prevention planning effort. We look forward to sharing more information with you as those meetings get closer.
In the meantime, we’re planning our 2nd Annual Spooky Booky – Drive Up Book Giveaway event – in partnership with the Nevada County Library and other service providers. If your organization would like to be involved, please contact Alyssa Burke (csnncorg@gmail.com) to find out how you can get connected.
Thank you,
Melody Easton
