Currently we are looking for interested youth and employers who would like to be a part of this program. This program is in Western AND Eastern County.
Youth positions are offered at least half time and pay rate will vary dependent on the position. Youth will receive job skills and preparation training and support from Connecting Point, and the employer will have support from Connecting Point as well as an opportunity to assist developing youth in our community and get more help for their organization.
We provide comprehensive career development training and work experience for individuals participating in Nevada County’s CalWORKs and Child Support Services programs.
And we help local businesses find qualified, work-ready employees at no cost, while paying their wages for up to six months of on-the-job training.
NEW! Youth Jobs Corps (Ages 16-30)
We now provide job readiness training and internships to young adults in Nevada County and Tahoe-Truckee ages 16-30.
We place trained participants in paid internships with local non-profits that address food insecurity, climate, and Covid-19 recovery.
