Therapy dogs love children and books, so what better place to spend the afternoon than the library?

Children of all ages are welcome to stop by and meet one of these hard-working dogs, practice reading out loud, share a favorite picture book, or just say “howdy.”

Tuesdays; 3:00 pm: Penn Valley and Bear River
Wednesdays; 3:00 pm: Madelyn Helling
Thursdays; 3:00 pm: Grass Valley

Join us at the Raise Them Up Fair for Foster Youth Services & Child Welfare Services!

This event is all about fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for everyone, while celebrating the foster care community and offering valuable resources and connections.

Admission is free, and people of all ages are encouraged to join us for a day filled with fun, learning, and community building.

Don’t forget to stop by the SNCS booth; see you there!

Exciting news starting May!

On May 6th, the Play & Learn Playgroup is shifting to Mondays (no longer on Fridays), running from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Even better, it’s now completely free to join!

Join us in The Learning Center every Monday morning for engaging developmental activities, socializing, and lots of fun playtime.

Although participation is open to all families at no charge, we kindly ask that you register with Amber at AmberM@sncs.org, as space is limited.

Interested in discovering additional opportunities for the children in your care?

Join us every Thursday from 10-11 a.m. to engage the children under your supervision in enjoyable learning activities designed to educate and foster their growth and development.

Each month will highlight a new focus on various activities.

This group is designed for License Exempt Providers, child caregivers, nannies, grandparents, or anyone looking after a child.

There are still available slots, reach out to CindyS@sncs.org to register (free of charge).

Thank you, Nevada County, for supporting this month’s fundraisers! So far, we have raised over $1,600 for Hold Country Senior Services, Deer Creek Elementary, and Bright Futures for Youth!

We still have 1 more to go!

Join us the last Monday of April and support Grass Valley Charter School & Scotten Elementary.
