Discover and Go with Nevada County Libraries

Thank you to Nevada County Libraries for this announcement.

Library card holders who are Nevada County residents can now get access to free or low-cost passes to more than 40 museums, science centers, zoos, theaters, and other cultural venues throughout Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. The online program, called Discover and Go, launches July 1st.

This partnership between cultural venues and libraries was launched in 2011 to provide California library card-holders with discounted admission to cultural institutions in their own backyard. Attractions include the Sacramento Zoo, Railroad Museum, the Exploratorium, Bay Area Discovery Museum, California Academy of Sciences, Exploratorium, Ruth Bancroft Garden, Legion of Honor, and DeYoung Museum.

To access these deals, users can visit https://mynevadacounty.discoverandgo.net/ and enter their Nevada County Community Library card number and pin. This service allows Nevada County residents who are 16 years or older to browse destinations by date or venue and reserve, print, or cancel admission tickets online. Discover and Go is a great tool to plan a family trip or venture, and encourages life-long learning, one aspect of the Library’s mission statement.
