The CAPC Board of Directors, along with First 5 Nevada County, is pleased to introduce Alyssa Burke, our new Community Collaboration Coordinator.
The CCC position provides support for two programs, the Community Support Network of Nevada County and a new initiative for home visiting coordination. “Alyssa brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to this position and we all are excited to have her on the team,” said Laura Harter, coordinator of PARTNERS Family Resource Centers and chair of the CAPC Board.
Alyssa comes to us from Victor Community Support Services, where she provided strength-based direct services to families in Nevada County. She also has served as office manager and service provider for a crisis intake agency for women and children, as well as volunteered for local nonprofits for more than a decade. This combination of direct service and administrative expertise, along with her longstanding engagement with local community members and organizations, will serve her well in her new role.
“I have loved every opportunity I have had to meet families where they are at, along with sharing and encouraging hope for sustained improvement in their homes, relationships, and lives,” she said. “And now I am thrilled to be working in this new role.”
Collaboration is one of Alyssa’s strengths, as is her commitment to support families and address their needs and concerns as well as connect them to resources needed to reduce stressors and help them thrive. Alyssa’s enthusiasm for her new role is palpable. “I’m inspired by the work that each CSN Partner is currently doing and has already done to create beauty in our community,” she said. “Together we can leave a lasting imprint and provide hope for sustained change.”
Please join us in welcoming Alyssa!
