Strategies TA (formerly Strategies 2.0), the Social Policy Institute at San Diego State University, and the Office of Child Abuse Prevention invite you to join us in the roll-out of the landmark webinar, Best Practice Guidelines for California’s Child Abuse Prevention Councils.
Building on extensive interviews conducted by the Social Policy Institute with CAPC leaders around California, the guidelines offer examples and operational definitions for how CAPCs are:
- Catalysts for Prevention and Wellness
- Conveners of Cross-System Partners
- Coordinators of Countywide Prevention Activities
This webinar is not only for CAPCs, but also Child Welfare leaders and other community partners engaged in family support, well-being, and child abuse prevention.
In the coming year and beyond, Strategies TA will be mobilizing our work toward assisting counties to develop collaborative child abuse prevention plans, with CAPCs and Child Welfare leading the way. These Best Practices intend to help CAPCs prepare to take the lead in this exciting work and continue to problem-solve along the way.
