On Thursday, October 22nd at 6:00 pm, Nevada County and Yuba Net are partnering to host a virtual town hall to get word out to the broader community about the recent overdose deaths and strategies for preventing further losses.
Speakers will include:
- Public health officer speaking to the data
- Law enforcement talking about what they are seeing
- Treatment providers speaking to how to access treatment and resources
- Youth providers speaking about how to best reach youth
- People with lived experience sharing their stories and inspiration for us all to do more to prevent overdoses
In addition to prevention strategies, this will be a forum to hear from the community about what they are seeing, dialog about what might be driving this uptick in overdoses, and brainstorm about how to reach more people with this important message.
