The Affordable Connectivity Program

The federally-funded Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provides eligible households with a $30 monthly discount on home internet plans. Find out if you are eligible here and more information to apply here. Households can also call (888) 920-2762 to apply. The call center will walk individuals through the process and get them enrolled in approximately 10 minutes.

Only 13% of eligible Nevada County households have enrolled in the program.  The Sierra Business Council (SBC) received a grant from the California Public Utilities Commission to expand broadband deployment and to close barriers to digital equity.
