First 5 Nevada County and the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools are offering the fabulous, FREE, Step Up to Kindergarten and Step Up to Preschool programs from July 8 through 26 this summer. Applications are being accepted through May 17. Classes offer a low child to adult ratio, experienced teachers, and an age-appropriate introduction to school. Open to any Nevada County resident, regardless of where they will go to school. We particularly welcome children who are clients of social service agencies – so please help us spread the word!
