Nevada County is proud to have CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE Placer/Nevada Counties partnership in Screen-Free Week 2025!Our vision is to help CalFresh-eligible children and families in Placer and Nevada Counties maintain healthy lifestyles through wise food choices and physical activity.
Each school year program staff serves over 2,800 children by teaching nutrition lessons and providing evidence-based nutrition curricula, training, and materials to teachers in qualifying schools and area educators at no cost.
