Presented by the Center for Nonprofit Leadership
With Partner Connecting Point and the Volunteer Hub
Saturday, November 5th, from 10am – 2pm, Nevada County Fairgrounds, Northern Mines Building
Anyone who lives or visits Nevada County knows it’s a special place; and it’s not just because of the beautiful scenery and iconic history. Our community is rich with individuals and nonprofit organizations that enhance our lives every day with their commitment to help people connect, grow and thrive.
This first-of-its-kind event will provide not only the opportunity, but the space, to encourage individuals with a passion, and the desire to put that passion into action, to find an organization that will provide the place to make that action a reality.
The Volunteer Fair will see dozens of local organizations participating as ‘vendors’ of volunteer opportunities. These nonprofits will be ready to share their needs and options with potential volunteers and engage these civically minded community members in their work.
The Center for Nonprofit Leadership will offer support to our nonprofit organizations as they prepare for the Fair by holding a training around the necessary components of an effective and welcoming Volunteer Program prior to the big day.
For our Member organizations or those looking to attend this training please put September 27th from 9am – 11am on your calendars. This training will cover the important components of a successful Volunteer Program: Job Descriptions & Applications, Recruiting – how to ‘sell’ your needs and Onboarding and Stewardship of those valuable people.
We hope you will join us! SAVE THE DATE (S)
