Children model what they see. If you are on a media device at the dinner table or when your child needs your attention, you are sending a very clear message into the future: “My phone is more important than you. When you have a phone, it will be just fine to make it more important than me.” Curb that kind of hypocrisy now. Imagine the limits you would like for your child when they are a teenager.
