Preview of September 5, 2018 CSN Meeting ~ SOGIE 101: Building an Understanding of Diversity of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression

On September 5th our Meeting Focus will be SOGIE 101: Building an Understanding of Diversity of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression.

Our presenter will be Kale LaMont Perry, a trainer and speaker specializing in fostering gender understanding. Perry is a biological parent, a step-parent, an adoptive parent, and a foster parent.  Kale says he’s passionate about making a positive difference for LGBTQIA+ kids and all kids in the foster care system.

We’ll learn how an understanding of SOGIE can help us better serve clients and patients, and be more inclusive and respectful in our lives overall.

Meeting time & location: Wednesday, September 5, 2018 ~ 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Gene Albaugh Community Room at the Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA 95959.
