Preview of November 7, 2018 CSN Meeting ~ Trauma-Informed Parenting

On November 7th our Meeting Focus will be Trauma-Informed Parenting.

Our presenters from Nevada County Child Welfare (new umbrella name that includes both Child Protective Services and Adoptions) will be Karen Martin, Ongoing Social Worker; Cara Carvalho, Resource Family Home Social Worker; Cheryl Gonzales, Adoption/Post Adoption Social Worker; and Supervisor Deirdre Day.

Nevada County Child Welfare provides trauma informed parenting and complex trauma training for families going through the Resource Family Home approval process.  (Resource Family Home is the new process for all foster parents and relatives applying for placement of children in care.)  This includes practical application and support through the life of the child(ren)’s case.

Meeting time & location: Wednesday, November 7, 2018 ~ 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Gene Albaugh Community Room at the Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA 95959.
