On February 6th our Meeting Focus will be Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health: Community Input. Our presenter will be Charlene Weiss-Wenzl, Public Health Nurse, Nevada County Public Health Department.
The MCAH program was enacted as part of the Social Security Act to improve health, safety and well-being of mothers and children, including children with special health care needs. Every five years the program is required by the state and federal governments to do a needs assessment to determine local priorities for the maternal, child, and adolescent population.
This must be done with input from community members. For our February 6th meeting, the Community Support Network is pleased to devote its meeting to this important endeavor.
Come help identify the Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health needs and issues specific to our community.
Meeting time & location: The Community Support Network (CSN) meets on the first Wednesday of most months (July, August, and December on hiatus), 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Gene Albaugh Community Room of the Madelyn Helling Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA 95959.
