Deadline Extended for CalFresh Recipients Who Lost Food Due to Rices Fire
CalFresh recipients who lost food due to the Rices Fire now have until July 28th to request replacement benefits, as approved by the Food and Nutrition Service.
The state estimates that approximately 335 households with CalFresh benefits may have been impacted by the Rices Fire, with an estimated loss of $104,335 in food.
If you receive CalFresh and lost food because of power outages or fire damage from the Rices Fire, you can apply for replacement benefits by calling the Social Services department at 530-265-1340 or online at GetCalFresh.org.
