Nevada City Artwalk Returns with Support from Ready Nevada County
Nevada City Artwalk returns to Downtown Nevada City after a pandemic hiatus. The family-friendly art event held downtown has historically been supported by merchants, local artists, and musicians who set art up in their shops and on the streets of Commercial, Broad, and York, selling, exhibiting, and demonstrating art. Nevada City Artwalk director Naomi Cabral said, “The Nevada City Artwalk is experiencing a total renaissance since being on hiatus during COVID. Merchants and artists are tentatively choosing to be part of it, with good reason. Being able to open up publicly like this is still new.”
Office of Emergency Services (OES) will be on hand in front of the Miners Foundry with Ready Nevada County materials to help residents and visitors prepare for a safe summer. OES Program Manager, Paul Cummings, adds, “I’m excited to get out and meet face to face with residents again. Talking through wildfire prep is an important part of our Ready Nevada County strategy. With extreme drought conditions already in much of the state, it’s important we reach everyone county-wide. Having some fun and enjoying our local creative community while doing this important work makes it all the better.”
