Being Ready Nevada County means being ready for anything and using all the tools available to both prepare for and respond to emergencies in real time. With that goal in mind, the County’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) is proud to share the Ready Nevada County Dashboard to help residents access technology and information for better emergency outcomes. High fire danger, Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and COVID-19 all add to the complexity of emergency planning. Building platforms to share information helps individuals create redundancies in their plan and that can save lives.
“This tool provides access to real time data during an emergency and technology to help residents make a plan that works for their specific needs, but everyone should still have a battery-operated radio and 5 Emergency allies. There is no one-size-fits-all emergency plan and technology is only one piece of a complicated puzzle,” says OES Director, Steve Monaghan. [read more]
