Board of Supervisors April 27th Agenda Preview

Pursuant to Governor Gavin Newsom’s Executive Order pertaining to the convening of public meetings in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Nevada hereby provides notice that it will hold its regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Supervisors by remote. The Board of Supervisors will attend the meeting and participate to the same extent as if they were present. Tuesday’s April 27th meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. Please refer to pages 7 and 8 of the agenda to find the ways you can provide public comment. Following the consent calendar, the Board will consider a resolution accepting the nomination and designation of the Poet Laureate, Kirsten Casey, by Nevada County Arts Council, as the third Nevada County Poet Laureate.

Next, the Board will consider a resolution proclaiming April 2021 as Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month in Nevada County.

Following public comment, the Board will consider a resolution approving the award of $500,000 for the Last-Mile Broadband Grants Program, authorizing the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute agreements with four awardees.

During the afternoon session, the Board will consider a request for Board direction on the Expenditure Plan for Local Funding that is provided to the County of Nevada in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
