Community Forum on Needs of Impoverished
The Nevada County Adult & Family Services Commission will convene two Community Forums to accept input on the needs of the impoverished in Nevada County. The forums will be held via Zoom on November 17th and 23rd. Interested Nevada County residents, including representatives of community organizations and service providers, are invited to participate and share their views regarding the needs of very low-income populations of all ages. The information gathered at the Forums will contribute to the needs assessment process required as a part of the 2022/23 Community Action Plan (CAP). The CAP is part of the application process for ongoing Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding for supportive service programs within Nevada County.
The County would like to hear ideas about services or programs that assist low-income populations in achieving self-sufficiency. Supporting data is encouraged. Because these forums will be conducted via Zoom, please use the Chat feature to share your thoughts on the needs of low-income households or participate in the verbal share of information.
