Nevada County Rent, Mortage, and Utility Assistance Program
Nevada County Housing and Community Services is offering a Subsistence Program to help with rent, mortgage, and utility assistance for eligible households financially affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Households with income at or below 80% area median income (AMI) may be eligible for up to three (3) months of assistance at a maximum amount of $2,000 per month. Assistance can pay for any combination of current or overdue rent, mortgage, or utilities.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to those at-risk of homelessness who are behind on rent or mortgage payments or have an eviction notice for non-payment.
Documentation showing loss of income due to the pandemic is required. Funding for this program is made available through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Coronavirus Relief (CDBG-CV) program, administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
