Nevada County Hiring

Job Openings at Nevada County: Social Worker IV

Nevada County employs approximately 800 employees covering a full range of services and positions, from accountants to wastewater treatment system operators. In Nevada County, quality of life comes first. It is the only rural California county with two designated Cultural Arts Districts and is known for its abundance of outdoor recreational activities.

Nevada County is seeking a Social Worker IV to support the Child Welfare Services team to handle advanced and intensive case management services for Child Welfare clients. The Social Worker IV requires an in-depth understanding of family dynamics, mental health issues, substance abuse, domestic violence, and a working understanding of trauma and trauma-informed care. This position requires initiative, determination, rigorous case management skills, and a passion to see families and children receive the services they need to remain healthy and, hopefully, intact. Strong candidates are able to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and excel in a work environment that is fast paced and team oriented.

We care for and support employees striving for a balanced, healthy work and home life. The Social Worker IVs enjoy flexible schedules and telework options, as well as a generous holiday and leave program. Fun and laughter are essential elements at work! In fact, Child Welfare Services is a frequent winner of the annual Halloween office decoration contest! And our potlucks and team-building events are, in a word, legendary. Simply put, we care about our team and our community, and we take pride in what we do.
