Message from the Board

Dear Community Member,

We hope you were able to join us for the May CSN Meeting! To those who attended, thank you for participating and we enjoyed engaging with you. To those of you who were not able to join us, let us provide you with an update on what we collaboratively worked on and discussed.

The CAPC Board has been diligently working with Strategies TA, from the Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) for the last year on how to Build Community Resilience in Nevada County and starting with March’s CSN Partner Meeting, we are inviting, you, the community and CSN Partners to join the discussion and planning.

We have discussed and explored how to collaborate in an effective and cohesive way with various agencies and departments throughout Nevada County.  At the May CSN meeting, we were able to interact in small breakout rooms along with a large group discussion.  It was truly a wonderful and informative time engaging and actively listening with one another and creating space for exploring further collaboration and ideas on how to invite members of the community to the table.

With that being said, the June 2nd, 2021 CSN meeting will have a presentation from Nick Ready, Program Manager, of the Child Welfare Department (CWD) in Nevada County.  He will be presenting information on CWS programming.

We hope you will join us! Please mark your calendars for June 2nd, 2021 3:30 to 5pm.
