Hello Community Partners,
We had an amazing Community Support Network meeting on Wednesday, November 3rd. We had the chance to hear from local family-serving agencies about the exciting work they’re doing and ways that we can continue to work together to close the gaps in services for families. Click here to view the agenda and the notes that were gathered during the conversation. Our next meeting is scheduled for December 1 and we’re hoping to hear from Nevada County leadership about their vision for child abuse prevention services and ongoing opportunities for collaboration between county agencies and community-based organizations. This week we’d like to highlight one of our valued partners, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Sierra. Big Brothers Big Sisters has worked locally within Nevada County to pair volunteers with youth to support their mission of: Our Mission is to create and support one-to-one relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking more volunteers to be matched with their list of 15 youth awaiting matches. Click here to view the eligibility requirements for volunteers. For more information on how to get involved, please email Bryan Peterson, Program Manager at bryan@bbbsns.org or visit their website.

Thank you!
