Dear Community Member,
Each year during April, the Board of Supervisors is asked to declare April as Child Abuse Prevention in Nevada County. The request this year came from a Staff Report and recommendation from Social Services and includes important information about our County. Over 1300 referrals were made to Child Welfare and about 20% resulted in findings. You can find the report and recommendation to the Board of Supervisors here. And finally, join us for a follow up discussion at the next CSN Partner Meeting on May 5th 3:30 to 5. This discussion will focus on next steps for improving collaboration and creating a shared vision and action plan to prevent child abuse and build a resilient community.
