Hello Community Partners,
This week, we want to bring your attention back to our Child Abuse Prevention work. As you know, we’ve been working in partnership with Nevada County Child Welfare Services to begin the process of developing a child abuse prevention plan that will cross-sectors and use community collaboration to ensure that we live in a resilient community where children and families can thrive.
So far, this year, we have looked critically at the assets and challenges specific to Nevada County and identified key stakeholders who will be instrumental in the advancement of this child abuse prevention plan and development of prevention goals. Over the course of the next few Community Support Network meetings, we will receive more information on prevention strategies, review local data, and review/develop prevention goals and indicators of success.
We welcome you to forward this e-newsletter to anyone you think might have a vested interest in the development and implementation of a child abuse prevention plan for Nevada County and please invite them to our next CSN meeting on September 1, 2021.
In the coming weeks, we will be releasing a survey to gather information on the community’s understanding of current child abuse prevention efforts in our county and our work moving forward. We would appreciate your support in disseminating that survey when the time comes.
Thank you,
Melody Easton, Chair
