2021 Nevada County Down Payment Assistance for First-Time Homebuyers
Nevada County’s Health and Human Services Agency’s Division of Housing and Community Services now has funding to provide home ownership opportunities to first time home buyers. The HOME First-time Homebuyers’ Program provides low to moderate income residents who are first-time homebuyers the financial assistance needed to own a home in the unincorporated areas of Nevada County.
The HOME First-time Homebuyers’ Program can provide down payment gap assistance to families who are first-time homebuyers. A first-time homebuyer is an individual who has not owned a principal residence during the three years prior to the purchase of the property being purchased with the HOME loan. The home being purchased with HOME funds cannot exceed a purchase price of $404,000.
