Community Involvement Day is coming up, and we gathered a list of items most needed by the participating non-profits. Join us in supporting this important work and receive a buy one, get one coupon to the fair.
• Soroptimist International of Grass Valley, White Barn Project: 4-H and FFA show clothing
• The Food Bank of Nevada County: Unexpired, shelf-stable food items
• Nevada County Pets In Need: Monetary Donations
• Foothill Lions Club: Used eyeglasses for refurbishing and distribution to people in need
• Bright Futures for Youth (multiple programs):
• SAFE program (homeless young people): stocked first aid kits, toiletries (new unused), backpacks for teens and adults, sleeping bags, gas gift cards, Safeway gift cards, Visa gift cards
• Cinderella Project: (prom/dance clothes), men’s formal wear, dress pants, and tops for women.
• NEO: Hawaiian shirts, art supplies, canvases, paintbrushes, acrylic paints, journals, spiral notebooks, school planners 2023-24, gift wrapping paper/gift bags/tissue/ribbon.
• Community Beyond Violence: Cups, dishes, washcloths, bath mats, two washcloths, microwave, air fryer or hot plate, full-size couch, medium couch, recliners, love seat.
• First 5 Nevada County: cases of water, children’s books.
• The Diaper Project: Wipes and a full pack of diapers (Size 5 & 6)
• Vitalant: Blood Donations (receive one FREE fair ticket for each donation)
