Bright Futures for Youth chosen as Nonprofit of the Year in the 1st District by Assemblywoman Dahle
Bright Futures for Youth has been named the Nonprofit of the Year for the 1st District by Assemblywoman Megan Dahle, an award that recognizes the organization’s far-reaching efforts to help several hundred children and young adults every year in Nevada County.
Bright Futures for Youth and its three programs – The Friendship Club, NEO and SAFE – offer year-round academic, social and emotional support. From after-school programs and summer camps to access to health care, counseling and healthy meals, Bright Futures for Youth continues to connect and develop relationships with and improve the lives of youth.
Assemblywoman Dahle issued the award to Bright Futures for Youth Executive Director Jennifer Singer during a California Nonprofits event Wednesday (June 8) at the State Capitol.
“After the last two years especially, parents and children desperately need support and resources like those offered by Bright Futures for Youth,” Assemblywomen Dahle said. “This organization has decades of experience supporting youth in their formative years, when they need it most. They are a true community asset.”
