WORKSHOP SERIES: LEADERS LEADING OTHERS

3- Part Leadership Development Series

Leaders You Can Get Results and Increase Impact

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams

We need leaders everywhere.

A good leader should motivate, inspire and help develop those who report to them, while also making sure that the goals of the team align with the larger goals of the organization. A strong leader will empower others and make a positive impact on the work environment as well as those around them.

Leadership requires much more than management skills and needs continuous development for greater effectiveness, impact, and performance. Leadership development is essential for retaining and enhancing the ability to lead others over time.

No matter what type of team you lead, we hope you will join CNL for this Leadership Development series: Leaders Leading Others.  This 3-part series is for anyone who manages others: Executive Directors, nonprofit managers, volunteer leaders, and Boards.

The series will consist of 1 in person workshop and 2 virtual trainings and will be facilitated by Becky Lunders of teamWorks who specializes in volunteer management and leadership development in the nonprofit sector. Becky helps individuals, teams, and organizations to become better versions of themselves.  Check out her Bio HERE.

These sessions may be taken individually at $60 for in-person session, $30 for each virtual session, or sign up for the three-part package at only $100 (all CNL member pricing).   Pick and choose which topics mean the most to you, or enjoy the benefit of all three. The Prevention and Early Intervention Committee’s Community Pathway

The Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Committee’s Community Pathway Recommendations were voted on and passed unanimously by the Child Welfare Council (CWC), which serves as an advisory body responsible for improving the collaboration and processes of the multiple agencies and the courts that serve the children in the child welfare system. California’s vision for Child, Family and Community Well-Being, centered on equity and social justice and respect for tribal sovereignty, requires an approach that is dependent upon the successful implementation of Comprehensive Prevention Plans (CPPs) that keep children, youth and families out of the child welfare system through supports provided by Family First Prevention Services (FFPS) and other resources. CPPs will be most impactful if they include a Community Pathway that enables parents and families to access culturally derived, appropriate, relevant, and responsive services and supports, that are located in their community, from organizations and community partners they know and trust.
We hope you will take a moment to recognize and celebrate this pivotal moment—not for the PEI Committee—but for the children and families who will be seen and supported in new ways as this work moves forward with unprecedented commitment from state leadership.
