Battle Of The Badges Blood Drive

Who doesn’t love a good competition, especially when it’s for a great cause?!

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, we are hosting a Battle of the Badges blood donation drive in a collaborative law enforcement vs. fire/EMT/paramedic showdown. This event takes place at the Eric Rood parking lot at 950 Maidu Ave. in Nevada City from 9 AM to 1:30 PM and is open to the public as well.

You can sign up using this link.

Let the skilled Vitalant staff know whether you are “team law enforcement,” or “team fire/EMT/paramedic,” and your support will be counted toward that team. All donors will receive a “Battle of the Badges” t- shirt and the winning first responder team will earn a trophy plus epic bragging rights!

While it’s always nice to win, at the heart of this event is an opportunity to save lives. According to our friends at Vitalant, blood supply in Nevada County is dangerously low, putting more lives at risk.
“We are at critical levels of our blood supply right now, with only two days of blood on the shelves when hospitals like at least four days,” shared Vitalant rep, Gayle. “The need for blood donations is constant. Trauma and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients, and people fighting cancer all require blood transfusions for their care.”

Join us in this worthy cause and directly help community members in need. Register today!
