If you love dogs and want to volunteer time to your community this would be a great way to do it! Our dogs need YOU!

Exercise and Fresh Air: Walking our dogs is not only beneficial for their physical health but also for their mental well-being.
Socialization: Regular walks help our dogs become more social and better candidates for adoption.
Fulfillment: Spending time with our dogs can be incredibly rewarding and therapeutic for you as well!

Flexible Hours: You can volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows. Morning, afternoon and mid day shifts available.
Training: No prior experience is necessary. We will provide all the training you need to walk our dogs safely and effectively. – These are primarily large breed dogs, they can be strong.

Community Beyond Violence (CBV) is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as our next Executive Director. As the public face of our organization, the Executive Director will play a crucial role in advancing our mission within the community.

This is a full-time role based on site in Grass Valley, CA. The salary range is $110,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a generous benefits package.

South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) Hiring a Community Engagement Manager

The goal of SYRCL’s River People program is to unite the community for effective advocacy on behalf of the Yuba watershed.  The Community Engagement Manager implements SYRCL’s River People program’s goals of community engagement, volunteerism, outreach, and information exchange. The CEM is the primary point-person for volunteer recruitment, retention, recognition, and management for SYRCL programs and events that rely on volunteer participation. The Community Engagement Manager (CEM) reports to the Communications & Engagement Director.  The CEM is expected to exercise judgement and provide management for a range of activities and programs promoting community engagement. These include direct outreach, recruitment, and management of SYRCL’s volunteers, production of annual events (River Cleanup, State of the Yuba, and Quiz Night), and supporting other events such as the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.

Full-time, non-exempt position. Compensation is an hourly rate of $28-$30 per hour depending on experience. Starting paid vacation of 14 days per year earned on an accrual basis, 10 paid holidays, 5 paid sick days, 100% employer paid health/dental/vision insurance, and 2% 401(k) retirement match (fully vested after 3 years).

This person is a custodian extraordinaire—someone gifted at tinkering, fixing, professional purchasing, and maintaining a variety of building and facility related projects. While custodian-related activities are the primary focus, the Facilities, Maintenance, and Purchasing Supervisor assists in other meaningful areas to support Hospitality House in its mission to transition people from homelessness to housing.
