Tiny Homes/Alternate Private Housing Options

We are seeking public input on a proposed ordinance that would allow residents to legally live in tiny homes on wheels on private property in the unincorporated county. This initiative aims to provide much-needed housing options for our community!

Center of the Arts Event – Battle of the Bands, Benefit for Habitat!
The 2024 Battle of the Bands at the Grass Valley Center for the Performing Arts, presented by Nevada County Association of Realtors® Foundation. You and everyone else in the audience get to choose the winner. Eight bands, one stage, one night, Thursday, September 5th, doors open at 5pm. Proceeds benefit Nevada County Habitat for Humanity. Enjoy a wonderful evening out, listen to our local musicians and support an amazing foundation like Habitat!

Denim Makes a Difference — for Bright Futures For Youth and customers of Maurice’s at 672 Freeman Lane in Grass Valley (also known as the Pine Creek Shopping Center). Donate your gently worn jeans to Maurice’s and you will receive $10 off a new pair of any maurices brand jean for the donation, one coupon offer per day through Aug. 31. NC Public Health – Free COVID Antigen Tests.

Nevada County Public Health has Free At-Home (Over the Counter) COVID-19 Antigen Test kits available for community organizations to distribute to clients that meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Uninsured
  • Underinsured
  • 65 years or older
