Child abuse and neglect is very real, disheartening, and happens here in our own community. No child should ever endure abuse or neglect and it should not hurt to be a child. As members in Nevada County, we can take a healthy stand for the children in our community by being proactive in preventing child abuse and bringing awareness to the unfortunate reality for hurting children. Together we are stronger as we support those who feel they have no voice or choice. Every child deserves to grow up feeling loved and safe!
In honor of Child Abuse Prevention month and bringing awareness to a wonderful and needed cause, The Community Support Network of Nevada County and The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Western Nevada County have partnered with local businesses for a once-a-week tasty treat each Monday for the first three weeks of April and a virtual showing of the documentary movie Resilience the last week in April. Please see the list below of the weekly activities you can be a part of to bring awareness to Child Abuse Prevention here in Nevada County.
