Updated Self-Assessment Tool from the REMS TA Center

The REMS TA Center is pleased to announce that we have updated EOP ASSESS. This FREE Web application on the REMS TA Center Website provides an interactive learning opportunity for administrators, faculty and teachers, and other personnel at schools, school districts, and institutions of higher education on emergency operations plan (EOP) development. Answer a series of 20 questions, and, at the end of the assessment, you will receive a Word document that contains a copy of your results, customized feedback, and related resources. EOP ASSESS has been redesigned by the REMS TA Center to enhance the overall experience and make it easier for you and your colleagues to use. Read more online about the enhancements, uses, and benefits.

REMS TA Center Presents Fact Sheets on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design

The REMS TA Center created two fact sheets, one for K-12 schools and another for institutions of higher education (IHEs). Each fact sheets presents an overview of the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) approach to reducing and removing opportunities for criminal behaviors, along with tips and strategies for applying CPTED in the education setting and incorporating CPTED principles into emergency operations plan development.
