Volunteer At The Nevada County Fair!

Kids Corner Volunteer Opportunity!

It’s that time again! The Nevada County Fair will be running from Aug 9-13th in 2023 and we are looking for volunteers to help out in the Kids Corner. We will have two 4.5-hour shifts one from 10:30am-3:00pm and one from 3:00pm to 7:30pm. Volunteers will be helping to handout materials, assist with basic crafts, and handing out water. Each volunteer will get: 2 tickets and 2 parking passes for the fair, $50 visa gift card, and a staff shirt! Come join us as we hand out support materials and books, help families make their traditional handprints, and welcome families to escape the heat and crowd. We are requiring anyone who is not employed by NCSOS to have a background check that will be provided free of charge. Please feel free to text or email Rachel Jasper, coordinator, at 530-301-6651 or rjasper@nevco.org with any questions you may have. To volunteer click HERE

Watt Park Fire District Booth
This booth dates back decades and still exists to raise money for so many different community benefits. Whether it’s scholarships for college students interested in becoming firefighters, purchasing helmets for the Sierra College fire academy or adopting families for the holidays, proceeds from this booth are reinvested in the community. So, you can feel good about enjoying an ice cream cone while also giving back!
If you’d like to volunteer in their booth, they would love to have more community help. You can sign up online by visiting this link: https://volunteersignup.org/774PP
