FEMA Assistance For Winter Storms

Nevada County has been added to the Presidential FEMA Individual Assistance Declaration for the February 2023 Winter Storms. This makes individual residents eligible for FEMA funding and programming, such as financial housing assistance, Disaster Unemployment Assistance, Crisis Counseling Assistance, Disaster Legal Services, Disaster Case Management, and Emergency Assistance.

The County is partnering with FEMA and CalOES to host two Local Assistance Centers (LAC) from Thursday, July 13th, through Saturday, July 22nd. The Local Assistance Centers will have up to twenty local, state and federal partners available to connect residents and businesses with storm recovery programs from the February 2023 Winter Storms.
