CAP Month 2023- Thank you

Thank you so much to all of our wonderful donors. The month was filled with amazing events and examples of community members and service providers who are dedicated to the ongoing prevention of child abuse and neglect. On April 8th, we had a wonderful first Community Barbecue for Child Abuse Prevention month. Jim from Nevada County Free Range Beef grilled his delicious burgers and the Bikers Against Child Abuse grilled hotdogs donated by the Northridge. With donations from so many valued community partners, we were able to have a fantastic day and serve over 200 community members and children. On April 11, we were able to partner with Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab Center and local families with young children to share in a day of crafts and joy. The Board of Supervisors passed a proclamation on April 18th declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and received a presentation from the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Western Nevada County (CAPC) and the Nevada County Rapid Response Team. Finally, on April 25th, CAPC hosted a Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) training that was open to the public. Please see our Sponsors page for more information on the partners who donated time, money, and goods to make this month amazing.
