Melody Easton is the Executive Director of First 5 Nevada County and the current Board Chair for the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Western Nevada County. Melody is a Nevada County native who moved back to the area in 2019. She and her family live in Colfax. Melody believes in the power of community collaboration – serving on the CAPC Board, Healthy Babies Community Accountability Board, Oral Health Coalition, and as a School Board Trustee for the Colfax Elementary School District. She believes strongly in the inherent strengths of individuals, parents, families, and communities to foster strong and resilient children. Melody strives to support a resilient community that meets families where they are and meets their unique needs.
