We’re excited to introduce our guest speaker for our CSN Meeting TOMORROW, June 1, at 3:30pm.
Justin Margolis is a former Parent Cafe Coordinator with Valley Oak Children’s Services where he became well-versed in Strengthening Families and the Protective Factors. He has served on the Child Abuse Prevention Council Board, as a member and Chai
r in Butte County, and the First 5 Butte Commission. He is a graduate of the Health Leadership Program through Sierra Health Foundation. He is trained in Boot Camp for New Dads, Inside Out Dad, ACEs, and Trauma-informed Care. Most importantly, he is a father to two children. He uses his experience in adult and juvenile detention, and out-of-home placements, to give back to his community, change the narrative, advocate for fathers, and break down the stigmas around asking for help.
We will also learn about some upcoming father engagement/parent engagement opportunities in Nevada County and have a chance to brainstorm ways to engage parents moving forward.
