Message from the Board

Hello Community Partners,

First and foremost, our hearts go out to the residents in Nevada County and Placer County who were directly and indirectly impacted by the River Fire that started last week. We are so grateful for the unflinching bravery of the fire crews and first responders who worked tirelessly to make sure our community was as safe as possible. In the coming weeks, there will be many opportunities for residents to give of their time and resources to aid those who have been impacted most.

This tragic event has been a shining example of the power of community collaboration. From the residents working together to make sure their neighbors got out safely; to the crews from both counties who worked so effectively together. We can learn from their examples as we move forward in developing a child abuse prevention plan that serves both of our counties and our youngest citizens.

If you have opportunities for our community to get involved in fire relief or other community outreach, please send the details to Alyssa Burke (csnncorg@gmail.com).

Thank you,

Melody Easton, Chair
