NEO is kicking off February with a smorgasbord of new activities, from in-person hangouts for both high school and junior high students to a collaborative filmmaking contest and two workshop series for teen foodies and fashionistas!
The Art of Food Presentation: Learn plating and presentation techniques for baked goods. Weekly projects will explore colors, arranging, and decorating to create a visually appealing picture. The last session will end with a bake-off competition. Whoever creates and designs the most appealing and creative dessert, wins!
Fashion Design Workshop Series: This workshop series will teach basic design principles, illustrations, sewing techniques, and color theory. Youth will design and develop their own three-piece collection of outfits that will be modeled and photographed for an upcoming Art Show.
“Directing Change” Film Contest: Calling all filmmakers, actors, and anyone passionate about spreading awareness on mental health and suicide prevention. Learn about the Directing Change student film contest, details, and deadline. Work as a group to develop a screenplay for a 60 second film focused on mental health or suicide prevention.
