NEO News: Crave Curiosity and In-Person Programs

follow your curiosityBig News: NEO is starting in-person programs again next week!

For the last few weeks, we’ve been busy getting ready for all our new programs. Rest assured we’re doing everything we can to follow the guidelines to keep everyone safe. New programs will look a little different, but will still have the same feel you know and love.

Our theme for October is Crave Curiosity. Expanding your curiosity will help you feel happier, promote kindness and empathy, and can help decrease anxiety. Be eager to learn, open to new ideas, ask questions, and try new things. Allowing yourself to explore the world in a new and fresh way will help you learn more about who you are and what you want in life, while also helping you have a greater understanding of the world around you.

Starting next week, we will be having two hangout sessions each week, plus a music jam session and video game session. In mid-October, we’ll add a photography workshop series. Hangout sessions will include group activities that fit our monthly theme such as solving riddles, trying new foods, meeting new people, and imagining our town in new ways. We will walk the Litton trail together, have meals together, and provide the option to play video games or do art. Special art activities will include blackout poetry, inverted drawing, and painting watercolor pumpkins.
