Keynote Speaker California Surgeon General Dr. Nadine Burke Harris will focus on ACEs, toxic stress, and her initiative, ACES Aware, to significantly reduce the prevalence of ACEs, early traumas that affect brain development and that can lead to serious physical, mental, and emotional issues.

Guest Speaker Calaveras Health Officer Dr. Dean Kelaita will address more specifically the impact of ACEs within the perspective of our rural community, offering a baseline from which local multi-agency collaboration can grow resilience within our homes, agencies, and schools.

Afternoon workshops led by local experts will be offered in three different tracks: Parents, Treatment Professionals, and Educators. Break times will offer mindfulness, yoga, and regulation activities.

You are welcome to join any or all of the conference, as your schedule allows. Preregistration is required; please indicate which presentation(s) you will be attending. Click to see descriptions of the presentations.
