Thanks to Melinda Douros, Child Advocates of Nevada County, for this info. Here’s the flyer: CASA Training Flyer, Spring 2019
A CASA is a Court Appointed Special Advocate – a community volunteer who advocates for a child who has been removed from home because of abuse and/or neglect. A CASA befriends, supports, and speaks on behalf of the child, making sure his or her needs are met while in foster care. Spring CASA training begins March 4, 2019. For more information, visit www.considercasa.com and join us at “Intro to CASA”, an informational meeting, on Feb. 4 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at 208 Providence Mine Rd., Suite #119, Nevada City. Contact Melinda at melinda@caofnc.org or 530-265-9550 Ext. 222.
