Just an hour or two would be a great help (and a lot of fun) if you cannot attend for the whole time.
The “Read To Your Child” Halloween Book Giveaway is one of our absolutely wonderful annual events. The Community Support Network coordinates this collaboration of organizations as part of the Grass Valley Downtown Association’s “Safe Trick or Treat” event. Last year we gave away 827 books, including Spanish/bilingual books. Photos used with parental permission.

- photography
- handing out books
- filling out bookplates
- directing the flow of the crowd

WHAT ~ Read To Your Child Halloween Book Giveaway
WHERE ~ THIS YEAR’S LOCATION is the Grass Valley Elks Lodge, 109 S. School St, Grass Valley, CA 95945 (Different location this year because The Center for the Arts is being remodeled.)
WHEN ~ Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Times for most activities are also specified on sign-up sheet above:
- Setup ~ Tuesday evening TBD, probably 5:30 or 6 pm for ~1 hr, and Wednesday morning 9-9:45 am
- 9:45 am-1 pm – book giveaway – volunteers at specified stations/tasks (public event 10am-1pm)
- 1 pm-1:45ish – cleanup
